With colour, material, furnishings, light and art I develop harmonious and lively worlds of colour and space.
A unique attic apartment in a historic building near the Zytglogge, its floor plan charming and unusual. Bedroom, studio and playroom in one line, the latter with pitched roof and lucarne.
It is the retreat of a creative and intimate connoisseur of Bern's old town, for which she would like to see a calm, yet unusual colour language. To achieve this, the rooms are gently renovated, redesigned and newly furnished.
Fine colour nuances with associations of red and green sandstone create a complementary contrast between bedroom and studio, subtle and reserved. The blackout curtain takes over the colourfulness of the wall. The floor is covered with a velour-like carpet in dark, intense royal blue. The material and colour scheme are exciting yet contemporary in appearance, and in the dark purple red of the playroom they are once again strongly accentuated. The existing pieces of furniture and living accessories are supplemented with selected individual pieces.
Thus the historical walls and the unmistakable way of life of their inhabitants merge into an atmospheric ensemble.
Thanks a lot Maria!
